Hello all.....my name is Alikia
and I am as can be seen a mermaid...
yes that is kind of obvious....and
I am from the city of Aquanea...
which is on the floor of the Pacific
Ocean at a depth of 25000 ft or so...
and is roughly halfway between the
land masses that the land dwelling
humans call California and Hawaii..
I am afraid that the names that we
call those places the land dwellers
would not be able to pronounce..
so for future refernce I will just use
those names.

Now as for me....I was born in
Aqaunea on June the 12th in the
year of 1305...which makes me
almost 700 years old....be aware that
this is stated in human years..
for us we measure time in a totally
different manner.....I am the youngest of
15 Daughters and my father is the King Posieden
and like 99% of all the mermaids in the ocean
I do not know who my mother is except for the fact
that she is a mortal woman. Please keep
in mind that you can ask me
questions about me and my life but
please be aware that if I do not
answer these questions do not think me
rude as there are somethings that
I am not permitted to talk about...
for example my last name will never
be revealed...not only is it a secret but also
secret but because humans are not a water
breathing species they would not be able
to pronouce it either...but the secrets are
few and I hope to have a good time here
And one other thing.....I can breathe
here but it is very difficult for me
as I am primarily a water breather..
I have to take care that I am
not stay out of the water for too
long a time...for this is dangerous
especially in the matter of my
gills....if they dry out there
there will be problems

As for the things that I find of
interest...that is simple...
this is the first time that
I have been permitted to come to
the surface of the ocean near any
type of land....so I am curious about
everything....and even with the
stories that I have been told by my
sisters...there is still a lot
that I do not know...so bear with me
as things go one it will be better.
And finally....this is the only time that
you well see here...to the left is my
oldest sister and heiress to the throne of
Aquanea....and please do not be confused..
but while we live on an average of 1500 to
2000 years...we can still die too...the only
one that will not die will be father...for he is a
god that I have heard humans discuss...however he plans on
one day leaving to back to Olympus and then
my sister will be in charge..when this will be I
do not know
